Is the engine/automatic tranny in a 1989 3.9 automatic 2wd Dak the same as a 1989 3.9 Automatic 4wd dak?
I have an opportunity to pick up a 2wd drive truck
with a good 3.9 motor and tranny with a blown rear end and I think it would be a good parts truck for my 4wd dak.

same transmission, different tailshafts. The 4x4 is gonna have a short shaft that the transfer case bolts to.
just swap the tailshaft housings and output shafts.
