Subject: 01 quad Transmission problem IP: Logged
Message: I was driving on Friday and when I reach 75MPH the transmission slipped. I got scared and decided to get back home. As I was driving and got to 70MPH, I experience the same problem. The at 65MPH, 55MPH... by the time I got home it was slipping at 45MPH. So the next day I started the truck and did not get the slipping until I reach 75MPH again. It seems that when is getting warmer the problem gets worst.
I took it to a transmission shop and they said it might be the over drive, however they need to run a diagnose first.
Any ideas what might be wrong? I mean, I can used in town, but the truck is of no use for long trips.
Thanks

Message: Come on guys. Any one has experience anything similar? or any of you have experience with transmission troubleshooting? I don't want to spend money in rebuilding it when it might be something cheaper.
Thanks

Message: try adding some lucas oil transmision fix to it. when the truck gets warmer, the fluids get thinner. that would be what i would try first
