Subject: Exhaust O2 Sensor IP: Logged
Message: I have replaced this sensor twice on a 98 V-6 and I still get a "Check Engine" Light with a code indicating the exhaust O2 sensor is bad. I have been checking the wireing and have not found a solution yet. Does anyone have any solution or good hints of what to check next.

Message: Check your connections/harnesses that plug into the PCM for corrosion. You might also want to trace the wiring that runs from the O2 sensor up to the engine compartment, you might have a kinked or chaffed as it passes by/under the body and frame.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

Message: the problem appears to be solved. We found the 12V supply wire was causing the voltage to drop to ~5V. We replaced the wire and all appears well. This only showed up under load. When we put an OHM meter on the wire it showed no resistance but when voltages were checked the voltage drop was seen. This seems really odd.
