Man it ran 14.9 with the bolt ons on a stock motor can wait to beat on it! the best thing is all i had to pay for is parts, it rules to know people. Watch out intense!

Message: he he he... good one. i never new a .030 (i think that's what you meant) would give you 100 horsepower... i have had engines bored out up to .040 and really couldn't feel a difference (or at least a big one). when he shaved the head did he make sure not to cut too much off to keep the valves from hitting the pistions in the upper rpms?
well, good luck with it. hope it runs good!

Have fun and good luck!!

Message: any idea what the compression ratio would be? because you will need to run something like a 160 t-stat if you have much more than a 9.0:1 ratio. the iron heads aren't very good with heat and high compression.

Message: remember 93v6dak... i already have "the bolt ons" he he he
my truck is at it's peak (40,000 miles). when magazines do 1/4 times with a new vehicle (new engine) and around 40,000 miles... the broken in one is always faster. didn't realize head porting was the equivalent to a 100 shot of nitrous. that kind of talk is why no one believed that you did a 14.9 with just an intake and exhaust.
just get you @ss to the track and prove me wrong!

Message: a 14.9 with intake and exhaust? yea if you have a 318 in there. i have that and a lil more and only ran a 16.3@79. and you'll be lucky to run a 14.9 with it borded over.30 and with the heads shaved and ported

Message: Sorry to say by 9:1 isnt "high compression" Intense.
I have actual 11.5:1 in my 340 with iron heads and alot of engines come with 9:1 or higher these days.
Why do you keep refering to "100" in HP or NOS shot, did he say something in another thread about his mods equaling 100 or something?
Just wondering.

Message: no fazdak... 9.0 isn't high. anything higher than that is "high" for an all cast iron 3.9 with a power range up to 4750 rpms. no...9.0 isn't high for a high performance musclecar 340... but your challenger is a high performance machine and probably not a daily driver... and you probably have all kinds of goodies in that thing. i wanted to get a higher compression piston but the engine probably won't hold up very well. it would probably bernd up (he he he get it?).the LT1 GM motor has like a 10.5 to 1 compression or maybe higher (maybe a 11:1, i forget). but to help with the higher compression it has aluminum heads and a reverse flow water pump... the water goes to the heads first to keep them cooler.
no... this guy said that he ran a 14.9 with like an exhaust and intake and maybe something else minor but nothing big... he couldn't ever show us a timeslip for it and told us to get in contact with some guy nobody knows. if i ran that good with a NA V6 i would put that timeslip on a plack... i know that i still have my 8.95 hanging around. i am referring to the 100 shot jetting that i use (stated by nitrous express to provide 100 horsepower to the rear wheels within 1%+/-). now this guy thinks that boring his engine out .030 is going to give hime better than nitrous abilities.
"well if i really wanted to kick your ass! i would just put it on the juice like u. But i think with a fresh motor and head work and just my other bolt ons i will get u. "... he was referring to me with this statement... if he wants to talk trash...sure, any smoo can do that... but if he wants to come to texas and try to run along side of me.... good luck!
i actually started to believe this guy until this thread.

Message: LOL.
Again, GET EM Intense!!!
Dude sounds like a total poser, I hate that.
Do these types know that one day it will catch up to them?
No problem bout the compression thing but I think you may have blown it a little out of perportion, a iron head Hemi with cast pistons and fiber head gasket came with 12:1 compression!!
From all of the STREET ENGINES I have built and have known friends build, iron heads usually hold up better with higher (not 12:1 and up) compression than aluminum heads, forged pistons are a must anything over stock compression or NOS.
I had a set of Edlebrock alum heads on my Chally for a short time as they warped real bad.
My block is studded and they said it was a bad batch of heads but that showed me all I needed to see, went right back to good old X heads.
Finaly got another 8 3/4 rear!!!
This ones out of an E body and its gonna take more cleaning up than the last one but its worth
it.

once again....we are talking about the 3.9 motor... not some kick@ss hemi!
ahhh.... i see now...you are using forged pistons with iron heads....okay... now i get it. cheater! j/k.... i was just wanting to help him out by suggesting a cooler thermastat to keep them cool if the compression raised any... i didn't say it would jump up to 12:1 or something.

Message: I have finally found out for sure that a B body from 66-70 will work and an E body from 70-74 will work, the E bodys is an inch and a half shorter so a little more offset rim will be the ticket!!
I could probably get you one, my latest connection has more than the one I got from him I think, be a b!tch to get it to Texass though, lol.
Dont know if you know this or not but it takes a person who has done it a few times about half an hour to swap out third members, I have one with L/S 3.55 one with 2.76 open and one 4.10.
Cant wait!!
