Message: Ok this has probably been asked but I can't find it so here it goes. About how much work am I looking at to get at 250hp in my 3.9? Not expecting to get much higher. I know there's probably a lot but just wondering about a basic out look on it. Done a couple things already. V8 TB, CAI, Flowmaster Super 40, Accel brass Cap and Rotor. Looking towards Electric Fan, 180 T-Stat, Crank Underdrive Pulley, MSD Blaster SS Coil, Taylor 8mm Wires, Headers and High Flow Cat, 1.7 RR's and a Cam.

Message: to get 250 hp out of the 239 you will need to upgrade pistons for a higher comp ratio too i would guess. as well as a pretty agressive cam, with 1.6 roller rockers and go with full roller valve train. port and polish intake along with port matching heads and intake. Run an after market TB with a mopar performance computer. After market ignition system as well. You are lookin to do alot of work to a 239 to get 250 crank horse power. It only puts out 175. you are lookin at almost a 50% gain.

Message: I can't remember what Larry's dynoed at, but I think it was a little over (or a touch under) 300hp at the wheels.

Message: Yea he's also put in over 6k into the engine also. It's just hard to get rid of my truck for a V8 since I just started doing some mods. That and I just bought it 8 months ago and I'm still paying. Sucks being young and paying too much. Maybe once I'm in the service I'll trade for something with a little more options. Like POWER!
Thanks
