Swingman, I noticed on the r/t suspension thread that you replaced the stock TB w/ a 5.9L TB. How's it running? Did you loose low end torque? Was the TB a '00 model? How was the install? I have cruise on mine. Would that be a problem? I'm hoping to do the same in the next few months, granting no emergencies a rise with the family. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay! I was really busy at work today.

No, I didn't lose any low end torque and yes the TB and cable were from the same year. At first I was concerned with losing low end torque because someone on an earlier post said that a V8 TB would cause a loss in low end torque. Bernd confirmed that it wouldn't.

The install was easy for my brother since he knows his way around a vehicle. The only problem that he had was removing the cable behind the gas pedal (getting under there looked like a PITA). The cruise control didn't have an effect on the install.

The TB upgrade complemented the rest of my mods and I can't wait to really wake up my truck with headers and 3.92 LSD!
