Message: My 93 dakota starts up fine then it has a problem staying on...it sputters kinda and then dies...IF I give it a little gas I can get it to start up and stay goign but if I give it gas then it idles way down almost dieing then it runs...I SHOULD have gas in it it has 56 miles on the tank....(Gas gauge doesnt work) but I know I filled it about a week ago and I go by mileage.
I put some STP stuff in it and it started...before it owuldnt start and it started up when I put that in it but it still has the problem..
Once I get it started I can put in in drive and it goes fine, same with reverse...but if its in park and I rev it up it almost dies each time I let off the gas.

Message: Sound like you might have a problem with your IAC or since you gas gauge isn't working maybe your fuel pump/module. Have you done a fuel pressure check lately or tried cleaning the IAC?
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.
