Hello everyone,
I just bought a 96 dakota, V6 3.9L 4x4 with 130k miles on it. I was looking for any tips / frequent problems. Also, I tried to check the fault codes and could not do it. Thanks.

Ryan G, dude, check your ball joints. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, look behind the driver's side front tire and locate the upper ball joint. See if it has rivets or hex-head bolts holding it onto the upper arm.
Bolts= The guy before you may have replaced them already.
Rivets= You still have the old crappy ones that came with the truck and may have to replace them.
Did the person that sold you the truck give you any service records?
