Message: Whats your best fuel milage so far due to all this hot weather with you A/C on? If you have a 04 with a 3.7 I would really like to know.

Message: I am averaging 16 mpg with my '04 QC 4x4 3.7L. The only thing that isn't stock is the drop-in K&N filter. I would say it is about 50/50 highway/city driving, and i tend to have a heavy foot, but with gas hitting $2.65/gal today for 87 octane, i will be trying to lighten that foot...haha..

Message: 95 CC 4x4 3.9L auto I get combined ~ 18mpg (17.5 - 18.5). do alot of driving off peak (sounds like a cell phone commercial doesn't it?).
If i drive 60 on the highway i can get 25 MPG. I usually drive much faster :) and get around 22-23 on all highway drives.

Message: I did a 323 mile trip this weekend that got me 19.1 which sucks cause I was getting 24-25 MPG. What did it for me was A/C, (like daddio)1000+ #'s of people/camping gear, and finally, the Appalacian Mountains!!!
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

Message: When I sold my 96 318 powerd Dak, I came close in buying a New 04 Dakota a smaller 3.7 V6. I had a deal in buying a 02 with the slighty larger 239 V6 but I herd the gas milage sucks on those engines. But I to test drove a 96 V6 dakota and I was shocked that I was getting over 22 MPG. And it had just as much power (or felt like ) as my V8 Dakota.
But instid I bought a reg cab Sierra that gets slightly over 20 MPG (4x4) But I'm still interested in buying a 04 Dakota with a 3.7
Did they come with a 6 speed that year?

its part pig, everyone with a V8 says they are getting better mileage when i ask them at the pumps.
I am looking forward to next year when we continue to pay for bush, I am expecting $3.00 per gallon.
