Subject: hesitation on take off

Message:
i have a 1990 dakota with a 3.9 and i was having a stumbling/stalling problem, but within the last week it hasn't done that much of stumbling but it has been hesitating on take off and surging while holding a steady speed.
i think i have gone through and replaced all tune-up parts i can think of which hasn't help anything.
i pulled codes and got a 21 could the O2 sensor cause all this?
and when i parked the truck last night the fuel pump seemed really loud. i don't know if that means anything or not but could the fuel pump be failing also or does it seems like the O2 or something else

thanks

If you haven't changed the O2 sensor recently
it should be number one on your list..

next to check out would be EGR valve/solenoid.

Does the problem get worse the warmer the truck gets, because if thats the problem then your catalytic convertor is malfunctioning.

sometimes it seemed like it but depending on what it felt like it would still do it within 1 minute of starting it up also,
but i changed the O2 sensor today and now it seems to be running great, and i have drove it around with a/c on to see if i could get it to stumble or hesitate and nothing, so it appears to be fixed thanks.
