Subject: A/C Question IP: Logged
Message: '02 Dakota Sport 4X4 V6
I've got water coming into my passenger side floor from the A/C unit - but I can't find where the problem is .... I've been told there's a drain hole that is most likely plugged by mud / etc. Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this myself ?? I can't see where the condensation is draining from either under the hood or under the truck .... HELP !

Message: Most vehicles have a rubber drain spout on the firewall, near the center or slightly to the right, about halfway up. It's about the size of your thumb. It's held on with a spring clamp and can be removed, or you can push a Q-tip or similar padded object up the spout to clear leaves, pine needles, slime and other debris. It should gush for maybe 10 seconds or so if clogged.

Message: On the 3.9, the hole is directly behind the passenger side valve cover and about 3 inches down. its just a hole with a black piece of pipe sticking out about 1/2 inch.
