 Subject: auto shutdown relay buzzing???

i have a 97 dakota v6 5speed and i just did an engine swap, now the auto shutdown relay is buzzing when i turn the key on and when i push the emergency light button a buzzing comes from the interior fuse bow( its a big grey relay). also i cant keep a battery charged in the truck and i tried 2.It cranked over once and ran for 20 sec before dieing out.Please help soon.

all i can say is you have a short somewhere. maybe a pinched wire since you did say you did an engine swap. or if you did any splicing anywhere i'd double check those splices first.

a quick way to check the grounds
run a heavy gauge wire from the block
get a good clean spot
and one from the body
(fender bolt under the hood),
run them of the batt. neg. terminal see if you still got the same problems after
