Message: tyler, you'd prolly be better off buying a used 4x4 instead, you would need a heck of alota parts if you wanted to make it look as original as possible, as for parts you would need a drive shaft, a transfer case, all the cables, a swaybar, possibly a lift kit because 4x2's may not have the proper ground clearance to support a 4x4 set up, as for the inside you'd need a shift stick to get it into 4x4 mode or an electronic setup wich would prolly be pricey, then you'd have to cut a hole in the floor for the shift stick then you'd have to get all the proper indicator that the 4x4 is even on, sound like it's just not worth it, you'd be better off selling your truck and then adding any money that you were going to spend on the conversion and get a 4x4.
My truck looks like it was in a knife fight, and lost! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1275365

Message: if you really want a 4x4 you'll be better of trading what you have to get one. you would never recoup your money invested to convert to 4x4.
like Josh said, search this site for performance enhancement ideas. there are also a couple of other good dak sites you can search in.

Message: Ok look at it this way. If u save up the money ur gonna spend on the conversion and take the money u get for ur truck (I'm assuming u own it) then you can go out and find a newer 4x4 with less miles and a bigger engine. Unless ur happy with the V6 then just find something nicer that's 4wd. Just my opinion.

Message: Tyler, you are wasting money and time converting a truck. Sell yours and get a different one with 4x4.
