Subject: v6 to v8 engine swap question IP: Logged
Message: I'm getting ready to do a engine swap on my 1997 dodge dakota with a 3.9 to a 5.2. I went to the local junk yard and pulled 2 injectors from a older dakota with a 5.2. I dont know which wire is what. One wire is green with a orange stripe down it and the other wire is blue with a white stripe down it. Which is the ground and which is the power. thanks

Message: the ecu was 85.00,45.00 for the flywheel and 30.00 to resurface it. Went to the junk yard for the injector conectors. clutch kit was 137.00,and the engine is going to cost around 600.00 with 80-90,000. so right around 900.00 to a grand to do a 5.2 engine swap. go yo car-parts.com. they should have everything you will need. and you might want a haynes manual.

Message: The green/orange lead comes from the Automatic shut down relay(+), and the blue/white lead comes from the PCM(-trigger)
