Message: I have a 3.9L V6 Club Cab.
I'm having the error code p0551 come up which is for the power steering pressure sensor. Obviously it doesnt have one and ive already posted another post to figure that one out.
The only actualy problem the truck is having with the A/C I believe. Starting about two months ago if I started the truck with the A/C on, or didnt let it warm up at all before using the A/C...it drained the power of the truck significantly! The truck would start shaking as if it were going to stall when I would back up....im always backing out of my drive way so I suppose if I was going foward it would do the same. Theres a hill up my road thats pretty steep, and when I would go up that hill a noise would come from the engine and I'de lose all power really, unless I turn the A/C off.
Now recently the belts are squeaking, until the truck is close to being warmed up.
Any ideas on the A/C problem? Think its at all related to the error code I'm getting? Thanks a lot!

Message: what yr and whats the milage?
the AC still working?
i have an older Dak (94)
AC was still working but seemed
when on the truck wasnt pulling like it normaly did. i put a 2 oz. charge of Ester oil in and
she's back to where she was before
also seems the AC is blowing colder
10 mins at idle in the drive way
thermo in the vent i get a reading of under 40 degrees
ya ya i know some guys are going to jump on that but i tried another thermo and same reading
and bros that ride with me complain its to cold
but hell i love it .....
i bought the oil at my local wal mart $4.69 or so
shake the hell out of the can before using it
not saying this has anything to do with your error code but the feeling slugish with the AC on
is what i had trouble with & just saying what i did
