Message: have a 1998 dakota 3.9 ext
is there a non trade kit that can be bought to clean the injectors via the fuel rail
or maybe a magic add to gas thing
think my injectors are sticking at low speed and causing my stalling problem
or could be something else

Message: Try SeaFoam. Put a can in your tank (just the fluid, no the can itself) and run another 1/4 can thru the TB.

Message: I used a lucas gas treatment in my dak because of hard starting, it was acting as if the pressure regulator thing that keeps the gas pressurized in the lines was sticking or not holding, I think lucas did the trick, whatever the problem, within 50-100 miles it has really started to start much faster.

Message: I agree with the lucas cure, it has worked a few times in different autos for me. When I first bought truck, it stumbled bad and had an error code for misfire on 5. The shop rpled wire, plug, did compression and finally determined a supposed bad injector. I ran lucas fuel cleaner and in 50 miles it was fine, and still is. ( That was 125,000 miles ago.) Thats my findings. I use seafoam as well for gas that will sit awhile, it stabilizes well.

Message: I just used seafoam for the first time today, I didn't realize that there could be THAT much crap in the engine. I got smart after the 3rd time stalling doing the intake cleaning, and took 2 sections of vacuum line, hooked them up to the unused vaccuum nipples on each side of the throttle body and fed them into the can like a straw and was able to manually throttle the engine to keep it running. My wife was a little pissed off at me because when i started the truck back up, i blew soot and carbon crap all over the side of her car (2005 Camry). Oops, like they say hind sight is always 20/20. Anyway, the dak runs even better than before!
