Help! I noticed last night that the floorboard in my 2001 Dodge Dakota was soaking wet!! I could see some moisture from up under the glove box, but i dont know what it was coming from or why. Based on the amount of water that was there, I would say that something has been leaking for quite awhile! Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thanks much! ~Chris

Do you have A/C? It could be the heat a/c core drain hole is plugged.

could be a number of things pertaining to A/C. it's a known problem with many daks. mine had it and when i took it in to the dealer they replaced it all under warranty and it hasn't returned. i think mine was the drain clogged along with a bad condensate?/evaporator. i'm not familiar with the ac components but i will tell you that you can take the carpet out yourself without much trouble and dry it out. just a matter of removing seats and console and pulling it out. mine took about a week to fully dry out and that was in the sun for half the time, after i sqeezed and shop-vac'ed it. if you take it in to the dealer they're probably gonna charge your firstborn to replace it. i would find a shop and have them look at it and see if it's that and whether or not it's fixable. there's also many posts on here about the same issue, so do a search and see if it'll help you out anymore. one thing for sure, it sucks to have to deal with it, especially if you don't get it the first time. good luck.
