hi guy's this is my first post on here and i am in need of help . i have a 2001 dakota with the 3.9 5 speed 4x4 . i love my truck but awhile back it started to lose power for a few seconds and then kick back in it only does it on the hiway on trip over 5 miles you will be driving along at 65 and it is like you shut the key off but it does not die then 5 to 10 seconds later it will take off and get back up to speed sometimes you will lose 2 or 3 mph and sometimes up to 10 or 12 mph i had it in the shop when it started doing this and the dealer said it was the rightside downstrean o2 sensor so i had them put a new one in and guess what it did not fix it i took it back later and they said since it was electrical it was non returnable but they would be happy to hook it up and check it again for another 60.00 anyways can any of you guys give me a suggestion or have any of you had the same problem and what was the fix? if i don't get it fixed soon it is going to get traded off> thanks

could be the fuel pump, check pressure, or an intermitent electrical short, bad hall effect pickup in distributor etc., is it showing any codes?
