I just bought an '02 Dakota V6 w/ 32,000 miles on it. The truck is in EXCELLENT condition but im having a problem when the truck sits for 5 or 6 hours. When I start it the idle is very eratic and spudders down to 400-500. The i start down the road and everything seems ok, but after my first stop I start accelerating again and i will have a complete loss of power and I hear/feel a clunking noise. It feels like its coming from under the truck but my friend said it sounds like a backfire. I will also here kind of a wining noise when i first start to push on the gas. It will do it for only a minute or two and then i let off the gas and it takes off. Also, not sure if this has anything to do with it but i noticed my oil pressure is very eratic. It stays within normal range but goes all the way down to the line and all the way to the line by high quite frequently. I'm not burning any oil, I change the oil a week ago and have put a few hundred miles on this week and my oil level has stayed the same. I have also changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Any ideas what this might be????

I put a K&N filter in around the time this started happening. Is there any vaccum hoses around the area the air filter box is? I wonder if i could have knocked one loose. But why would this only be a problem when starting off after the car is cooled down?
