Subject: 94 dakota v6 trans IP: Logged
Message: Can anyone tell me what transmission is the correct one for a 94 2wd dakota.
I just got the truck without trans and don't know
if computer and stuff is linked to trans or not.
Will other years and types work?
the book said to look on floor on passenger side
for ID plate to identify trans and color ect. but can't find it.

Message: The ID plate will be on the underside of the hood, on the passenger side of the engine compartment, or where mine was, in the glove compartment.

Message: Ahh hell, just find a beefy 727 trans from a truck or old polara cop car. It will last a hell of a lot longer than the baby 904 that comes stock on your truck. It involves some jimmying, but will allow you better performance and upgradability.
