 Subject: error code

04 dak slt 3.7v6. error code P0501, speedometer is not functional, also have the check engine light, abs light, air bag light, and the brake light on.
I believe the code says speed sensor, not sure, got that from the dealer who can't get me in until after wednesday (this is friday).
Any suggestions?

Read all of the above thread one of the posts tell you how to replace the speed sensor. ( a really simple job)

a little more info. The A/C also Doesn't work either. Not sure how a speed sensor could work into the A/C not functioning, but it is interesting. Did clear the codes and now i just have the lights, spedo and a/c problems.

took it into the dealer, they traced it out to be the ignitation switch. guess the codes are not always right. will find out tomorrow when it is ready (they didn't have the part in stock, will get it in the AM).
