You say you just installed a V8 TB on your V6 and now you get a code 1494? Most likely you bought an older TB that was designed for early Magnum engines with an EGR system. The first two pictures should help you identify the EGR type TB. Avoid them if you can, but if the price is right don't worry, there is an easy fix.
Note the tiny holes just above the throttle plates. This identifies the EGR type without even removing it.
Unlike the non-EGR type there is no passage for the higher vacuum source required by all post-EGR engines.
Again, the solution is very simple. Take a dremel type tool and make two slots approximately 3/16 inch wide and about 1/8 inch deep or to the depth of the pocket. The exact location, size and shape is not at all important.

Go ahead, Josh. I've done two now that had problems with that code and neither one has reported a recurrence of the code. To me the answer seemed so obvious that I was wondering why no one had tried it. I originally thought that I was going to have to plug the two small holes but that didn't prove to be the case.

N5', you are the $h1T! Killer pictures, Dude! I've got a V8 TB, and have the same problem with the error code. These TB's are made by Holley and are discontinued, so are the special throttle cables for them. You cannot use a typical cable on a Holley. You must make modifications to the cable end or machine a round piece and weld it to the throttle plate, like I did. I am going to do this simple mod right now. Thanks N56629!

N56629, I must admit I'm impressed. Keep the good work. You ought to post the pictures you put up on one of the dakota boards about boring the throttlebody with flappers in the drill. I think it would have merit.
92 and 97 Daks both with many mods.

Relf, you shouldn't have any trouble walking right into a dealer and buying a brand new TB and cable. They are all the same whether they have the Holley name or not.
Wadak, I would do that but most people with v6's take the easy route and throw on a v8 tb. It should work just as well on a v6 tb and give good results.

N56629, The 50mm Holley TB that I have is weird because the throttle plate has a plastic cable guide riveted to it and it requires a cable end that has a cylindrical end on it. I took it to the dealer myself and after much searching on their computers they told me that this one was discontinued. Thanks again for the pics of the mod.

"1494 Leak Detection Pump (LDP) pressure switch problem - electrical or the pump itself. "
Assuming that your tb is stock you most likely have a vaccum leak. If it is not stock then follow my instructions if they fit your situation.
