Subject: Chip Question for Larry

Message:
I was doing a search on the IAT sensor mod and I found an old
post by you. Here is the quote:

The Jet Chip does the same thing as relocating
your IAT it changes the reading about 20 to 30
degrees and plays with the TPS.

This is how they get the timing advance.

They do give you a 1 to 2 mpg increase and help
throttle response. But there is no big performance
gain. I would say 5 to 10 HP not the 21 they
advertise.

They do help a little, I bought one before I got
an ASE Chip.

I seen 2 dyno tests on the V6 with the ASE and
on a stock vehicle 15 to 17 hp gain.

Now running a 92 mopar performance PCM on my 95

I have a few questions for you if you don't mind. I have never
heard of the ASE chip, what all does it do compared to the JET?
If the manufacturer has a website with info then that would be
great, but I can't seem to find it by searching. Also, why did you
choose the mopar PCM versus the other two? I have been
considering doing the IAT mod as well as the CPS sensor mod.
Will either interfere with a chip, and what do these chips do that
the sensor mods don't accomplish? Here is the info on my
vehicle:

'94 V6
1.7 RR
ASP Pulleys
K&N Intake
High flow cat, and Flowmaster 40
I also use the Autolite 3923, and 8.5mm wires

I would greately appreciate you opinion on what my wisest
course of action is. Thank you sir for your time.

- Justin
