i am putting a 93 3.9 in my 97 dakota, do i have to use the 93 comp or can i use the one that is in the truck already. (keep in mind that i am using the 93 intake and on the 97 model they switched over to sequential multi port injection)

you cannot do either option you have there. the 93 intake has egr and the 97 doesnt. and the 93 computer will not control your transmission. so you need to put the 97 intake on the 93 motor and run the 97 computer. otherwise you will be in a world of hurt either way. though you might be able to run the 93 intake with the egr not hooked up. in that case use the 97 computer.
