Message: first of all I dont think that would work. second of all that would be stupid. the 90 dakotas were premagnum motors. the heads flow worse and would see a dramatic drop in power not to mention i dont think they are the same in other aspects. so no. but you could find a set off of any 239 from 92-up

Message: the premag heads don;t have the same collant flow channels. they wont work and also yes they will flow worse. part of the magnum design was better heads. so go buy some dealer ones. or hit s junkyard jsut make sure you get the magnafluxed for cracks before you get them installed

Message: in my experience its not worth ordering anything from the dealer. there is a good chance you could buy an aftermarket race head (if they make it) cheaper then the stock head from the dealer. just do some online searching or local junkyard searching, if you do some digging you will find some.

Message: nub, just say NO! They'll bolt up to the block, but even ported, you're giving up valve lift with the reduction in valve ratio (LA has 1.52, Magnum has 1.6). You'd need different length pushrods, hollow of course, to supply oil to the rocker shafts. You do know the rockers are different, right? Naturally, you could add 1.6:1 roller rockers. Still, the Magnum intake will not fit with LA heads. Don't go backwards. Get Magnum heads.
