 Subject: coil cutoff

Hey people
I want to put a anti-theft device in my 4.3 v6
I see the coil has 2 wire lil harness running to it
can I splice the one wire with a toggle switch (make it open circuit on demand) without damaging anything and if I can which wire is best the ground or other hot I assume
this will disable spark if I can

Always break the ground. Meter the coil to determine the hot/ground leads.
