LARRY... POPULAR GUY HUH? I WAS WONDERING IF YOU THINK OEM EQUIPMENT IS BETTER THAN AFTER MARKET...? I AM GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP TO PICK UP SOME IGNITION WIRES ($48.75) FOR MY 92 DAK W/ A 3.9 LITER. I HAVE AN AFTERMARKET CAP AND ROTOR (DOES BRASS MAKE A DIFF.?), I BELIEVE IT IS BORG-WARNER, MAYBE HAS 8K MILES ON IT... I AM THINKING ABOUT GOING BACK TO FACTORY, THE ENGINE IS RUNNING A LITTLE ROUGH, CUTS OUT GOING DOWN THE ROAD, COULD HAPPEN AT ANYTIME. YOU SMASH ON THE PEDAL AND NOTHING, DON'T EVAN HERE THE ENGINE REV UP, NOT A TRANSMISSION SLIP... I HAVE CHANGED THE TIMING CHAIN, CAM GEAR, AND CRANK GEAR ABOUT 8K MILES AGO... OH YEAH, IT HAS AUTOLITE PLAT. PLUGS. EVERYONE GRIPS WHEN I TELL THEM THAT, THEY SAY IT SHOULD HAVE CHAMPION 71'S, DOES IT REALLY MATTER...? ALSO, GETTING CRAP FOR GAS MILEAGE, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, HAVEN'T CHANGED THE O2 SENSOR YET... THE PLUGS WERE CHANGED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE TIMING CHAIN, GEARS, AND CAP & ROTOR. PLEASE HELP!

not Larry here but while your waiting for him =
i can tell you brass is way better
conducts better curent
plug wires, some may differ here but alot will agree, one of the best plug wires on the market currently are MSD 8.5's
1 up would be Nology Hot wires but they are pricey
and when your going for your next cap and rotor check your local NAPA they only sell "Echlin" cap and rotors (made in the USA) and Echlin only uses brass ....

i am using the B/W cap & rotor on my truck and have had no problems in the last 15,000 miles.

brass conducts electricity better than the crappy aluminum and are also less susceptible to corrosion. yes, the B/W cap & rotor i use have brass contacts.
