I was wondering what Cams will work in my 2003 QC. I do not want anything radical . What will a Cam really do for me and will it help on gas mileage. I need some more torque. So basicaly what will the cam do for me? Thanks in advance.

Hay Dakota Girl,
Look into switching to high lift roller rockers,( Harland Sharp has a set that bolt in w/o mods)That would be cheaper and easier to install. The results would be like a mild upgrade in your cam.

JFH,
Nice ride dude. Simple & Clean , not over done. As for going w/ both the cam and the roller rockers, I was suggesting the 1.7:1 high lift rockers which increase the amount of lift w/o dealing w/ the added costs of a cam swap. You have a cam and 1.6:1 RR's the 1.6's are the same as stock, w/ the friction reduction of the "roller" rockers. Don't get me wrong it sounds like you have a good set-up, I'm just trying to explain it for Dakota Girl.

I know what I have, and I am upgradeing to 1.7's and keeping the cam, need new springs and rods, but should help top end even more.

Just getting 1.7's would be a decent gain, but why not go for the cam and rr's, you would gain alot, I noticed a huge difference doing both, just the rr's would gain about 15hp. Think I gained almost double that.
