 Subject: Cant get a cat back flowmaster for 99??

99 3.9 V6 Sport reg cab. Tried to order a cat back system from Jeggs and was told they dont make one. Called Flowmaster tech, said only for the V8 and 2000 to 2004 for V6. Told to call Dodge to see if ther is a differenc between the 99 and 00, the parts guy cant tell me if there is or not, he dont know.
Sooooo, is there anyone who has a flowmaster cat back system on thier 99 3.9 truck?

As far as I know there should be one for a 99. I just put a dual catback on my 97 3.9L CC last weekend with no problems from a local shop. I think that 97-03 or 04(can't remember which) should be the same. Dodge didn't change much between those years. Mine sounds awesome and love the looks, got the duals coming out the rear. Hope you find what your looking for.

Correct me if im wrong but ....the exhaust system on the 3.9L and the 5.2L are the same after the "y-pipe" and the cat is after that.... so why wouldnt a cat-back system for a 5.2L fit on a 3.9L

Well isnt the v8 a few inches longer then the v6? Or wouldnt this have any effect.. I know dynomax sells a system for the v6.

I know the V8 in a few inches longer toward the front of the engine bay but i think as far as cat/y-pipe they are in the same location.... i did a V6 to V8 swap and didnt have to move the exhaust at all .... the V8 headers slid right to the V6 y-pipe without me having to move it back at all

Well, Im gonna call jegs to marrow, if I can order flowmasrter for the 2000 mod if it dont fit or i have problems I can take it back, maybe go with the dynomax instead

Just thought I'd update this. I got the Flowmastercat back system Jegs, the one for the 2000 V6 and it fit perfect. Sounds real good.
