hey larry, i'm planning on getting a transgo kit installed here shortly. (2002 42re 2wd) I was going to go with fastman/martin saine, but he doesn't have any cores available to make and send me, and i can't afford the downtime of having the valve body out of my truck for a week or so to ship it back and forth. so i'm planning transgo, and going to get it installed professionally. i've tackled other diy projects on my truck (rrs, belly pan, powertrax) but this just seems a little too involved for me, and i don't have the clean garage to pull into (just a driveway).

anyway, im planning to order the TFOD-HD2, looks like the right kit i need. is there anything else i should get while they have the valve body out? i've read your thread on how you install transgo on 99-up (http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/v6/10840.html), plan on having them follow these guidelines. i saw you mention a sonnax tcc valve, should i have that put in as well? saying this will help raise shift points and better converter lube, which mine likes to shift up and out into od early, no matter how much i adjust tv cable.

anyway, let me know if the transgo and sonnax tcc are all that i will need. i'm going to call the local aamcos and cottmans (advice on either of these places?) and see about cost. let me know if it sounds like i'm going in the right direction. thanks!
