Subject: Bog and loss of power IP: Logged
Message: I have this strange bog off idle up until about 2800rpm then it just takes off like nothings happened. Since new it could easily spin the tires in the dirt and now well if u call fluffing the dirt with readable tire imprints spinning... And thats with the upgraded gears. It used to be 3.55s but was changed to 4.10s.
What could be causing this?
Could it have been the pcm flashes?
2002 QC 3.9 4x4 auto
Thanks

Message: Well (im going by what i was told...)One of them was for cold starts (all though it was flooding itself on start up) The other was for my 2nd to 3rd gear shift nirvana. I dont think there was any more but i may have to see how many stickers i have under the hood.

Message: Some one mentioend that my mods may be the problem. Ill list them here see what u think.
180 stat, ported v6 tb,intake manifold port matched and runners cut 1/2 inch, Free flowing intake, 1.7RR.
Yes stock exhaust, no iat mod, and i pulled timing by the crank sensor (slight pinging only happened when i gassed it and at any rpm when at full operating temp).
I also came accross maybe putting in smaller injectors or putting in an adjustable fuel regulator. Atleast thats the results that came up when i looked for info on the web.

Message: what size injectors do you have? my stk '00 3.9 has 21#. i think they put those '00 & up. i don't think that's your prob. what size tb do you have? 46mm, if so i'd go v8 or f & b or hughes 48mm.

Message: Im running the stock size. They are red just havent taken the time yet to find out.
Im running a ported v6 tb i think it was the 46 mm.
This problem makes it self very noticable the hotter it gets outside. During the cold weather it runs great.
