Message: Sic,
The engine is still turning over after you turn it off? I had a car that did that once, turned out to be carbon buildup on the spark plugs. The Carbon was actually glowing red hot, so they acted like glow plugs... Hope that helps.

Message: I wirebrushed mine... check to see if they have a lot of carbon deposits. If not, it's something else...
Did you get that water-leak thing fixed?

Message: Carbon buildup anywhere in the combustion chamber will cause this. Running higher octane than you really need doesn't help, do you really need that 93 ? Are you ruuning rich ? This is hard on your bearings, for a temporary fix shut motor off in gear, it probably won't diesel with the extra load on it.

Message: My truck refuses to run correctly on 93... anything over 89 and it throws a fit. :0/
But since it runs -great- on 87, I don't mind.
Sic, try running some fuel injector cleaner through it. The Spark plugs are easy to remove, you just need a spark plug wrench (most ratchet sets come with one). Pull one wire off at a time, and do one plug at a time. Real easy. :0)
