Message: My performance pushrods have been backordered, my engine is in pieces because I am waiting for them. I have a Hughes cam and Comp Cams 1.6 RR, I also have a new set of stock pushrods, will they work or am I asking for trouble?

Message: did you bother to measure the cam lob minor dia before ordering and compare it to the cam lob minor dia. of the stock cam? if you did not you WILL have problems with the rods being to short/long. The stocks will work ONLY if the cam lobe minor dia, that is the dia. of the cam lob WITHOUT measuring over any part of the lob itself, is the same. any variation requires a change in rod length. also, if you changed the valves, a slightly different valve stem length may apply and that also may/will require slightly different length rods.

Message: Yes, I have checked all that, they are the correct length, I was asking about the strength, will the stockers hold up to the cam and RRs.
Good observation though, thanks, Dave.
