Subject: Plastic window deflectors? IP: Logged
Message: Anyone recommend those smoked plastic window deflectors? I notice 'em on many new models so they must do something like re-direct the smoke you flick out the window to the back seat! No, are they a must have? Rain drip stopper? What brand is quality and does the lick and stick adhesive really hold?
I hate cheesy bolt ons, gotta find the facts before I get mad and heat gun 'em off the day I get them.

Message: They are the most wonderful things to add to your truck. They pull the air out better with them on,and you can leave you windows cracked with no rain coming in. I highly recommend them, and yes the 3M tape will hold very well!!!
Lund is the one I would go with also.

Message: I have a set for my CC that uses the tape. It's been on since Jan with no problems. Very nice in the rain.
The ones I have are made by a local company here in GA that my wife bought me from advance. I'll have to look on them to find the name of the manufacturer.

Message: I got some VentShade in-channel ones for my 2005 Quad. I got them off E-Bay and even with shipping they were still $10-$20 cheaper than what I could find locally.
I wasn't sure how the tape would hold in the gasket but they are sticking great.
Like everyone else says they are great for venting out smoke or farts and great during the rain. They are also great in the summer for leaving your windows cracked for cooling without worrying something will drop in (I work in an area with industrial exhausts that put stuff in the air).

Message: Thanks for the tips above, perhaps the automotive grade adhesives actually work these days.
Time to start shoppin' for 'em.
