 Subject: Starter/electrical Problem

Well at first all my gauges on my dash stoped working, my radio stoped working, and dome light. Those happend when I hooked up my cap lights. I have checked every fuse and ground except what is under the dash. Well out of noware my truck just makes a clicking sound when I go to start it. I am shure that the battery is fine. I suspect that its the starter but I was wondering if there is anything else to check first. What could have made my starter go all of a sudden with no starting problems as of recent.

Edit: I have a 1997 extendcab v6 magnum oem engine no mods at all.

my bet is something shorted when you hooked up those cap lights. i bet if you disconnect them the problem goes away.
