 Subject: getting codes

I have a 2001 3.9 Dakota and this morning the little engine show up in the dash and i'm not sure how to get the codes for it I tryed to go back in the archives of this sight and can't seem to bring them up I get all the numbers of the pages but that would take for ever to find out how to bring up the code and how to clear that little engine display. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

i'm not sure if this works on an '01 but works oon my '00. turn the key on/off/on/off/on without turning to start and the codes will display on the odometer and it will display Pdone when finished. if this doesn't work AutoZone will read codses for free.
to reset the pcm:
looking over the pas side fender at the pcm unplug the connector closest to the firewall from the pcm for about a minute then reconnect. this way you don't lose all the radio presets.
