Thanks everyone,My 3.9 was dead on the highway,and fuel milg. sucked. Well that has all changed,come to find out my EGR valve was bad. Who would have ever thought,that would cause as many problems as it did. After doing some reading on this matter,thanks to your suggestions. My problems have been resovled,the selonoid that atctivates the EGR valve was bad. Do your self a big favor,and check your EGR valve.

I'm going to go pick up a 1995 dakota with the 3.9 in it tomorrow. What kind of gas milage do you get wth yours? Thanks

I am happy with my 95 3.9 4x4 auto too. I get 17-18 city and up to 25 on highway depending on speed (55-60). Driving 70-75 i get aroudn 22.
