Message: I have a 1999 cc 3.9L auto. I want to change the cam and was wondering if I would have to remove the engine to put in the new cam or will it be possible to install it with out removing the engine? Thanks

Message: don't need to remove the engine but here is what you will need to remove:
fan/shroud
radiator
condensor
altenator/bracket/ac
waterpump
timing cover/chain
airbox assembly
valve covers
loosen rockers
pushrods/lifters
intake manifold
fuel injector rail
and camshaft
all in in all pretty easy! ;)

Message: Who makes a performance cam for the Gen III trucks that's a reasonable price? Last I heard someone looked into it and it was like $1800 for a custom grind V6 cam.
