Subject: cold air intake=slower dak IP: Logged
Message: is it possible my homebrew cai actually made me slower or is this just my head. only sometimes when driving down the road does it actually seem like its helping. but if im at a dead stop and mash the throttle it feels or seems like its actually taking longer to hit 80 or so mph, whats the deal?

Message: I think it's possible...one reason could be if it's flowing less than it was with your old intake. Could just be in your head too.

Message: how long is your piping? sometimes, if you make the piping too short, you are actualy severly cutting into your torq. Better air flow is good for ponies, but with out a proper intake pipe you probaly a decrease in start off prformance. same goes with back presure in an exhaust system.
