I'm curious. Has anyone had their driveshaft stolen before? I park at a park and ride in Northern GA and ride a transit bus into downtown Atlanta to work. Got off the bus one day, cranked my truck, put it gear hit the gas....
.... and nothing. It was like I was in neutral.
I got out and looked underneath expecting my tranny to be on the ground or something. Instead, the driveshaft was gone. Universal joint and all. I found one of the clips and one of the bolts on the ground. The rest was gone!
Crazy huh?! Anybody else had weird parts stolen off their truck?

it was me!... sorry but i broke mine. just kidding...sorry dude. one day my dad went to the mall and came out 10 minutes later and one window was bashed in, a torn off dash, missing cd player, and missing sub. i just don't understand the minds of thieves....

I came out of work one night (Worked at a mall at the time and drove a '96 Cavalier) and got in my car. The radio came on and blasted static. The hell? Couldn't get anything. By chance I looked in the rear-view and didn't see an antenna! Got out, sure enough, some idiot had stolen the darned thing, mounting and all! They unscrewed it and unhooked the plug, then took off with it!
Thats just -mean-!

Had someone ram it at night in front of my house to see if it had a alarm...then smash the window and finnally steal my cd's. Didn't get my player since I had my plate with me though. Parked it in the garage because it looked like rain that next night and they had the balls to break in through a window and get the player---which I had thought safe with the face back on inside.........AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

one time i tried to steal intense's driveshaft but the damn thing was turning too fast and i kept bumping my head on the ground.

Why would they steal it?? I've asked myself that over and over again.
All I can figure is some punk kid (no offense to the younger women and men on this site that actually take their brains with them when they leave home) was trying to impress a girl by off-roading in his 2wd. He must have bent or broke his and decided that it would be cheaper to steal than to ask mom and dad for the money.
Cheaper for him I guess. Not so cheap for me. I got my insurance company to help me out though.

Some jack hole stole my spare tire, jack, and jack handles from the drag strip (Atlanta Dragway) and I was really pi$$ed off. That wheel won't fit any vehicle except for a Dakota and a Durango. So it prolly won't even do them any good at all.
But for a few days, I was really trying to figure out how to steal the jack and handles out of a Gen III Dakota. I was willing to pay for a spare rim and a used tire, but $75 for the jack and about $90 for all the handles and $68 for that baggie they ride in..... I was VERRRY close to going for a test drive in a 2002 Dakota. heh.
Fortuanately I found the whole set-up in a junkyard and I have bought a rim from another guy..... Good thing. Otherwise I'd still be thinking about ways to steal a jack & handles.

WOW!! That is crazy, I have somthng like that happen to my bro in-law, he went to a club in dallas in his 1970 c-10 and when he came out the gas tank was missing, they broke in and took it, it was behind his seat, they didnt take the raido though???? This crazy world, I still cant belive it A Dakota DRIVESHAFT??????

every year someone (or someones) steal the spare tires off of all of the trucks at the ford dealership by where i live... this year they got the most, 89 spare tires.... could you imagine people stealing all the spares off of an intire truck fleet at a dealer... he he he. said the spare on the rangers were $200 and off of the bigger trucks $300... blackmarket spare tires!

I used to keep a cable locked on mine since it was a fullsize. Now I lock the damn thing to the fence at the track, too. Hard way to larn the lesson. I just can't believe the dillweed walked past all those nitrous bottles and tool boxes and floor jacks and racing trailers to steal my 6-lug wheel. WTF?
Just for yuks, I called the dealer and they wanted $310 for a 15x8 sport wheel (with no tire).
Shaaaah! As if......
BTW, if you have a Nitrous Oxide Systems brand set-up the dorky kids call it "NOSSSSssss"
If you have the Nitrous Express kit, do you run Nixxx?

You can also get an R/T rim that's not chrome at tire rack for $185. But I don't need the 17x9, I need the 15x8. So I paid $80 to a dude who is shipping it to me right now.

Dude I was just hipped to something by an old theif. He told me that what they do is take off the driveshaft and roll your vehicle wherever they want it and take all your $hit... Im paranoid. Really Paranoid...
