look under the drivers door and follow the lines back to the tank
if you dont find it guess what?
it's in the tank attached to the bottom of the pump

The great thing about dakotas is that the fuel pump, filter, regulator, and level sensor are all part of ONE assembly. I just recently had my fuel pressure regulator go bad, so i had to change the entire assembly. Word of advice...take the bed off to do it instead of dropping the tank...SO much easier. Oh, by the way, it is going to cost about $200 for the assembly.

Shop around for the part if you can, the prices vary quite a bit. I forgot who had the better deal: Napa, Kragen or someone else.
