Not sure what you are asking...what kind of paint or how much? I think you just need to use a flex additive in the paint so it can bend a little.

I had a paint shop do my poly roll pan and I had them put a clear coat on for the protection and to match the rest of the truck. I would guess enough coats that you can sand and still have primer left.
