so i did the injector mod today, got all exicted that i finally got it done. so i put everything back together and me and my buddy go out to see how she feels. i also reset my computer. starts up great, runs fine at idle, we get to the street, i floor it, seems good til around 3200 rpms when it feels like someone took the key right out my ignition, bogged out completely, and as it revving back down it sounded like someon lit a firecracker in my exaust. i got real pissed and started home to put it back. as im giving it some driving down the street,it gets to about 2000rpms and it sputters like hell, but before 2000 itruns great, i have no idea wtf happend. somebody please tell me what the hell is going on.

turn it too far maybe? ya only hafta go counterclockwise very slightly with the distributor. sounds like its trying to fire the plugs or injectors too soon to me.

i turned it as far as it would go, which wasnt too far, but yea, it felt like a carbed motor getting choked out

im gonna take a stab and say eith you wasnt exactly at TDC when you started it, and off set it at the wrong place, or you were 180 degrees off at TDC and the other 2 guesses are 1) too far, or 2)didnt put the wires back on all the way, or out of order

the weird thing is it runs perfect besides when it does what i explained, so im guessing i set it too far. ill set it back a little tomorrow an see what happens

id say start over and try it again, i dont think you had the right cyl on tdc, because there is no way you should have had to "turn it all the way." so try it again and if the problem still persists then i would say its something else.

ok so i re-did it, runs great. i think i set it too far the first time. now its slightly to the right of the 'pointer' but could someone post some pitures so i kno i did it right
