Subject: Metal Shavings in my Cooling System IP: Logged
Message: The water pump in my 97 Dakota 4X4 broke(specificaly the rotor came off the nut and started grinding metal shavings from the engine in my cooling system. There is a gouge on the engine surface near by where the rotor is. Do I need to be really concerned about this and mill it down or do I just put the pump on and let it go?. I will be doing an extensive flush of the cooling system of course trying to get the shavings out.
