I posted a thread about an offroad excursion last weekend and how I nearly waterlogged my engine. Well the day after I got this bad whining/clunking noise that I guess could pass for a belt squeal at times, but it sounds like its coming from the transmission. I flushed the tranny, and the truck seems to run fine, but it makes this god awful sound going down the road. It doesn't do it sometimes, just most of the time, and it really only does it when I'm on the accelerator. A friend who works for a tranny shop says I probably blew my torque converter and would need a whole rebuild. Is he right? Anyone have a similar problem?
