Message: My truck is still running hot after changing the WATER PUMP, RADIATOR, and THERMOSTAT. What else could it be? I just bought a new fan shroud(the other broke). Could this be it? I never thought the fan shroud would have so much effect on the heat, but I dunno. Please help...thanks

Message: Are you losing any coolant? Have you felt the upper/lower radiator hoses after reaching operating temp? Maybe it's not running hot and the coolant temp sensor is bad?

Message: It could also be the fan clutch... does it run hot even on the highway? if it's only low speed/city driving, then it's likely the fan clutch isn't working properly.

Message: It was leaking coolant from the thermostat housing. I replaced the gasket and everything's good now. Thanks for the suggestions.

Message: I would say you have air in the system. when you get an air bubble the pump doesnt move the coolant around and the effect is basically a truck with no cooling system. as far as being able to get the bubble out, i would go buy one of those flush kits and hook my hose up and flush it, that will take care of it, and then just fill it with coolant after that and you should be good to go.
