Message: It is not just a tightening thing. The u-joint by the diff is probably bad, and need to be replaced. As for bolt size, someone correct me if i am wrong, but i do believe it will be either a 7/16 or 1/2...i am not sure if they are metric or not. The last time i change a bad u-joint on the drive shaft was on a 77 F-150, and it can be a slight pain in the @ss to remove them sometimes.

Message: its rather apparent that he doesnt know how to do it so my advice to you, park the truck with blocks behind the wheels and leave the truck in neutral, go underneath with your , i think 7/16, wrench and remove the driveshaft from the pumpkin, pull the front out of the transmission and take the whole thing to a transmission/garage and have them change the u-joints. thats the easiest way for somebody who doesnt know how to do it. otherwise do what i said and then pull the clips off of the u-joint, put in a vice and hit the u joint down through the hole until the cap slides out and pull the cap off and hit back the other direction and do the same then pull the u-joint out. slide the new one in and put the caps and clips in and you are done.
