Subject: Fan clutch removal IP: Logged
Message: Im replacing my water pump on my 95 dakota. I need to know how to remove the fan and clutch. Ive got the pulley unbolted and lose but I cant get the clutch to come lose. Thanks for your help.

Message: i had to do mine too.if i remember correctly it was pressed on. i ended up taking mine to the local garage and they had it done in less than an hour. not too often i take my truck to a shop but it wasnt worth the hassle.

Message: There is a big nut right behind the clutch fan
you can either by a strap wrench and a wrench to
fit this nut or leave the belt on take a big
screw driver just catch the nut and give it a wack
it is a reg right hand thread so turning it
counter clockwise it will unscrew it is not
pressed on but threaded
