would anyone happen to know of a good location to put a 4 gauge ground wire inside the truck.

I have mine bolted/attached to the driver side seat/floor board(right where the seat bolts done), no heating or problems and i have had it this way for about 3 years(2-12in subs with a 750W amp)

I'll second that ground point at the seat bolt on the floor for an amp.

clean the metal with a wire wheel and then use two screws to hold the crimp in place one in the hole and one between the hole and crimped end then paint it to seal it. try to go threw double steel and always never have the threads exposed to the underside of the vechile- it will rust{michigan} in about a year. this is the best way i am a 12volt installer
