i got in an accident in the middle of december. the shop kept my truck for about 10 weeks. since i got it back, i've been hearing this slight vacuum leak coming from around the middle of the firewall. thought it was in the dash so hadn't really worried about it since everything was working fine truck, running great.
well today i decided i'd check my dist cap and rotor for wear and low and behold! there it is the source of the leak. evidently in the wreck somehow about a 3/8" hole was opened up on the backside of the airhat. so now my truck's been sucking dirty air for about 3 months now.
i patched it up and get a new hat later unless someone here feeling generous and would donate to the cause! LOL
